Summary:Thirteen-year-olds Jonah and Chip are reeling from the news that they're both missing children from history, kidnapped from their proper time period. Before they can fully absorb this revelation, a time purist named JB zaps Chip and another boy, Alex, back to the fifteenth century, where they supposedly belong. Determined not to lose their friends, Jonah and his sister, Katherine, grab Chip's arms just as he's being sent away. The result? Jonah and Katherine also end up in the fifteenth century, where they decidedly do not belong.Chip's true identity is Edward V, king of England, and Alex is his younger brother, Richard, Duke of York. But Chip is convinced that his uncle, Richard of Gloucester, plans to kill them and seize the throne for himself.JB promises that if the kids can "fix time," he will allow them to return to the present day. But how can they possibly return home safely when history claims that Chip and Alex were murdered? In a riveting tale that climaxes on the battlefield at Bosworth, master storyteller Margaret Peterson Haddix brings readers back in time to an unforgettable moment in history and plunges them into the adventure of a lifetime.

My Review: I was hoping this would be good as the first, but I was sadly disappointed. I mean it was OK, but it was just 'blah'. The concept and the plot was kinda good, but, just, for some reason, I didn't like it. The ending is the only good part to me, and of course it doesn't answer your most burning question: Who is Jonah? Well, you can read it and maybe correct me, on thinking this is a -_- book, or you can agree with me. Your choice.

Exert: "Stop it!" Katherine said. "Stop fighting! If we've got any hope of getting out this place, we'll all have to work together."
"Fighting? Who's fighting?" Chip asked.
"Squabbling, then," Katherine said, " You know what I mean."
"We're in the 15th century. In 1483 even squabbling involves bows and arrows or giant spears." Chip said harshly.
"Or lances." Alex said.
"Swords." Chip said.
"Battering Rams." Alex said.
"You're not making me feel any better about the 15th century." Katherine said. -pg. 168

Summary: Thirteen-year-old Jonah has always known that he was adopted, and he's never thought it was any big deal. Then he and a new friend, Chip, who's also adopted, begin receiving mysterious letters. The first one says, "You are one of the missing." The second one says, "Beware! They're coming back to get you."Jonah, Chip, and Jonah's sister, Katherine, are plunged into a mystery that involves the FBI, a vast smuggling operation, an airplane that appeared out of nowhere -- and people who seem to appear and disappear at will. The kids discover they are caught in a battle between two opposing forces that want very different things for Jonah and Chip's lives.Do Jonah and Chip have any choice in the matter? And what should they choose when both alternatives are horrifying?

My Review: This book was for sale in my schools' Scolastic TAB but the very next day I saw both this one and the second on display in my local Library. It was a sign! LOL Any way I got them and I finished this one and wen right in the second; I totally recommend doing this! It started out really well, but it got really dry, and slow for my taste and little ways into the book. But I pushed on and got to the end which W-O-W. And personally I think Jonah is the guy that invented time traveling but I guess we'll just have to read and find out ;)

Exert: "Chip! If they say, 'Great news! We got an offer to give out free airplane rides this morning'- don't get on the plane! Do you hear me? Don't get on any freaking plane!" - pg. 239
